How to manage Room Settings in V.connct 3

1) Click on “Rooms” located at the left toolbar.
2) Click on “V.connct 3 (new)” for all settings to appear.
a) Participant Management:
  • Waiting Room: Pre-meeting waiting area for participants.

  • Early Participant Access: Join meetings anytime, pre/post-start.

  • User List Visibility: View participant names in the user list.

  • Analytics: Enable/Disable analytics reports for the session.
b) Communication Settings:
  • Public Chat: Public messaging for all participants.

  • Private Chat with Participants: Private messaging for participants.

  • Breakout Rooms: Enable users to enter breakout rooms.

  • File Upload: Allow participants to share files in the chat.
c) Sharing Settings:
  • Allow Screen Sharing: Allow participants to share their screens.

  • Share Notes: Allow participants to use the NotePad.

  • Share a Video:Allow participants to play video or audio from an external source.

  • Share a Link: Allow participants to share a link inside an iframe.

  • Poll: Allow moderators to use polling options.

  • Allow RTMP: Enable or disable RTMP for the meeting.

  • Ingress: Display externally streamed video directly in the session.
d) Recording Settings:
  • Cloud Recording: Cloud recording for moderator.
e) Audio Settings:
  • Mic Sharing: When turned off, participants cannot share their microphones.

  • Mute Participants upon Entry: Automatically mute participants except for moderators.
f) Video Settings:
  • Camera Access: Controls camera accessibility within the room.

  • See Other Participants Videos: View shared videos from all participants.

  • Virtual Background: Enable/disable the virtual background option.
g) Additional Settings:
  • Meeting Duration: Set the maximum meeting duration.

  • Speech to Text: Convert spoken words into text in real time for better accessibility.

  • Welcome Message: Display a message at the start of the meeting.
Note: Click on the “Reset to Default” button to reset all the room’s settings then a pop up screen will appear, click on “Reset” to confirm.

[Mobile]

1) Click on the “Rooms” icon located at the bottom of the screen.
2) Click on the “Three dots” located beside the meeting you’d like to manage its room settings.
3) Click on “Room Settings” .

4) This list will appear.

a) Participant Management:

  • Analytics: Enable/Disable analytics reports for the session.

Note: As you enable Breakout Rooms, you’ll be able to select the number of breakout rooms as well as the room duration
